16.5 Acres In Dayton Tennessee

Second Floor Part 1 of ???

We have spent every evening at the house. So much has gotten done this week, we are splitting it up into multiple posts - for what was done each day.

This is the photo we keep taking as we pull up to the house every time. I am excited to put these all together at the end and make a time-lapse.

They started on the framing upstairs Tuesday. This is the view from the living room. And, a peak at that staircase *swoon*

And some of these views we won't be able to get for much longer as walls go up.

This is what we are calling the "back bedroom" and the upstairs bath. Including a linen closet just outside the bathroom.

Liz standing in the bedroom closet for scale. We originally planned 2 smaller door openings for the closet and were not pleased when we saw just one, but after spending some time in the space and thinking about things, we realized the door to the room would block one of the closet doors. So we decided the builders know best and left it as they built it.

Liz in the bathroom for reference.

Another thing that initially bothered us was the placement of this window. It is centered on the wall, but when you add a closet to the space, it is no longer centered in the room. This along with the closet is something we immediately thought we were going to have to ask the builders to move.

But again, after spending more time in the space, we realize the window will look centered from outside. And again, our builders know best (they have done this a few more times than we have), so again we left it as is.

I was contemplating our work space. This area is the loft that will be open to downstairs and where our computers will go.

This is the centered bedroom window on the back of the house.

And the "Big" wall. The garage has all the walls up and it looks huge no matter how you view it.

And one other thing they got done? STAIRS into the house!!! No more carting our mini step-ladder back and forth and struggling to get in. Yay!

Another view we haven't shared in a while - from just off the road.

More framing and upstairs updates coming tomorrow!

Toodles!
